FAQs

Most OBs and fertility clinics focus on managing symptoms with medication or jumping straight to IVF. At Lumena, we practice restorative reproductive medicine and dig deeper to find and treat the root cause of your symptoms or infertility. We use a natural, whole-body approach that prioritizes your long-term health—not just a quick fix.

No, visits with Dr. Weasler operate outside of insurance to give you longer visits, better access, personalized and high quality care. Many patients use HSA/FSA funds or submit superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Labs, imaging, and medications can still be billed through insurance, if desired.

Not at all. We help women at all stages of their reprodutive lifespan – from pre-teen years to menopause years. We evaluate women and men for infertility concerns. We treat a wide range of conditions—from painful periods or hormone issues in teens, to fertility concerns, to postpartum and perimenopause. If you’re ready to understand and heal your cycle, we’re here for you.

You won’t be waiting months for answers. Your first medical appointment after your meet and greet will occur within 2 weeks—guaranteed.

That’s exactly why Lumena exists. Many of our patients come to us feeling dismissed or discouraged. Many have been diagnosed with “unexplained infertility” or told IVF is there only option. We have successfully treated couples with previously diagnosed “unexplained infertility”, failed IVF cycles, and recurrent miscarriages. We offer a fresh perspective, thorough evaluation, and answers you may not have received elsewhere.

Start with a free 15 minute meet & greet with Dr. Lauren Weasler to learn about our root-cause approach and share your story. No medical advice is given—this is just to ensure we’re a good fit before you commit.

At this time, Lumena is only seeing patients who reside in Wisconsin. However, we plan to expand telehealth access to additional states soon. Sign up for the Lumena Letter and you’ll be the first to know when you’re state is added in addition to other exciting clinic updates.

Dr. Weasler is a board-certified family medicine physician with advanced training in NaPro, FEMM, and NeoFertility protocols. She’s helped hundreds of women optimize hormones, restore natural cycles and achieve pregnancy—even after years of frustration and hopelessness

Yes. These are some of the most common issues we treat. Our approach is focused on treating the root cause, not masking it with birth control or other short-term fixes.

Charting is a core part of how we time labs, uncover root causes, and personalize your plan. Although it is not required, it is highly recommended. If you’re not already charting, we’ll help you get started—it’s simpler than you think. We can review different charting methods (Creighton Model System, Marquette Method, SymptoPro, etc) and femtech devices that may work the best for you.

Yes. From start to finish, you’ll work one-on-one with Dr. Weasler—not handed off to a team of rotating providers.

Absolutely. Our care is often a fraction of the cost of IVF and focuses on achieving lasting health—not just short-term results. Your health is one of your greatest investments in life. Instead of offering quick fixes or diagnosed with “unexplained infertility”, we search for answers so that you have a blueprint for expanding your family and improving your quality of life for the long-haul.

Yes. Our goal is to restore your health, whether or not pregnancy is part of your plan. Many patients come to us for hormone balance, pain relief, and improved quality of life.

Yes. Many patients have been seen by traditional OBs or fertility clinics. Records can be easily requested and we do have access to common corporate health record systems like EPIC.

No referral needed. Just start with a free 15 minute meet & greet and we’ll guide you from there.

We do not prescribe hormonal contraception. Our approach focuses on restoring your body’s natural God-given function, not suppressing it.

While every case is unique, many patients report restored cycles, improved symptoms, new diagnoses that were previously missed, and successful pregnancies—even after years of trying elsewhere. Most of all, they feel heard, empowered, and hopeful again.

Lumena is exclusively virtual. In-person care may be recommended on a case-by-case basis from time to time.
